The Tomoni Programme (known colloquially as Tomopro), was first introduced in October 2021. It aims to give students the chance to impact their own future by crowdsourcing their ideas and building a project with sponsors who share their vision. Selected proposals will be presented on the university's crowdfunding platform and will receive funding of up to 500,000 yen. Alumni and members of the university will provide mentorship, professional advice and other (non-financial) support. Eligibility: Individual students enrolled in regular undergraduate and graduate courses Support details: Up to 500,000 yen in grants, mentoring support, etc. Application period: June 1 - 30, 2023 Application Form: https://forms.gle/P1Ltsxu3TAJBRBReA Schedule: Application period (June) ➡︎ Screening (July/August) ➡︎ Adoption ➡︎ Crowdfunding (October/November) ➡︎ Project implementation Students from all fields of study - and all nationalities - are welcome to apply, and diversity is strongly encouraged. Proposals must be for original projects that challenge students to benefit or create new value for society; solve a social problem; and/or improve personal development, leadership and skills.
