Purpose of the award to honor young researchers who have conducted research and development based on their own initiative in the field of materials science in the broad definition of the term, and who have produced excellent academic or industrial application results, and to encourage further development of their research.The applicant must be engaged in materials science research in the broad definition at the Tohoku University, and it must be less than 13 years after obtaining a doctoral degree. From the perspective of diversity and inclusion, consideration for interruption of research due to life events such as childcare or nursing care has been added to the limit on the maximum number of years after obtaining a degree from CRCMS Award 2022. The winners will receive a research grant of 500,000 yen as a supplementary prize.
